Privacy policy

ORA is designed as a local music player. It does not require registration and does not upload your music library or listening history to ORA servers.

Effective: September 13, 2026

No ORA account

No ORA account is required. Universal uses an Ora-specific iCloud identifier on iPhone, iPad and Mac to link and restore purchases through RevenueCat, whether the purchase was made in the App Store or on the website. Music and listening history stay on your device.

Your music stays on your device

Imported audio files, artwork, playlists, bookmarks, playback positions, and listening history are stored locally in the app sandbox. ORA does not transmit this information to its website or backend.

Deleting the ORA library removes only copies and metadata stored by ORA. Original files in Files or iCloud Drive are not changed.

Purchases

Apple handles App Store payments and offer codes. RevenueCat receives purchase information and technical data needed to verify and restore access. ORA does not receive payment card details or Apple Account credentials.

The Mac website edition opens a hosted checkout in your browser. A payment provider processes the payment; RevenueCat links access to your Ora-specific iCloud identifier. Universal uses the same iCloud account on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Music and listening history are not transmitted. The iPhone & iPad plan does not unlock Mac.

Website and support

The ORA website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Its web framework may set technical session cookies. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, and request time for security and reliability.

If you contact support, we use the information you choose to provide only to respond to that request.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through the ORA support page.

Purchase data and deletion requests

RevenueCat processes purchase history and the app user identifier to verify and restore access and provide purchase analytics, such as revenue reports. This is not analysis of your music or listening history, and is not used for advertising tracking.

To request a copy or deletion of your ORA purchase-related data and iCloud-linked identifier, contact support by email. State your request and the purchase platform. Do not send passwords, card details or music files.

Deleting local music does not delete purchase records. We verify requests before acting. If purchase verification, refunds or applicable record-keeping obligations require some records to be retained, we explain this in our response. Deleting an identifier used to link purchases may affect restoration across devices.
